Since the Antique Bold M image is making its rounds on the web, I figured I’d do something similar for another letter from that set. This C has a chip on the spur, as you can see on the print comparison I have below. This block cleaned up very well, and the grain has a fabulous knot in it. Some of the irregularities that causes show up faintly in the print. I did some manipulation of the image to show off the grain on this block. the way it radiates out from the lower part of the letter is just perfect.

The placement and pattern of the grain enhance the beauty of the letterform.
