EndGrain: Latest post

This is a big, beautiful, curvy S. I love how the stroke is narrower at the top of the letterform to clarify which is the top and which is the bottom (I need all the help I can get when I’m setting type). Despite the heavy slab serifs, the block avoids looking clunky, and still has some great lines. The wood grain is fantastic; a wonderful, dark color. There is some staining along would some wounds. The rounded nick shows up in printing, I’ll post a scan sometime soon.
